We understand and appreciate the history, lore, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty of a truly handcrafted bamboo fly rod. But we also understand that not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on a rod that they’re then afraid to take to the river. At Rivercraft Rodsmiths, we believe a bamboo rod should be more than something beautiful to admire—it should be something you fish. That’s why we work hard to keep our handcrafted rods priced within reach of more anglers, while also offering other bamboo rod options at even more accessible price points. Our goal is simple: to make it possible for more people to experience the feel, character, and unmistakable spirit of a real bamboo fly rod without feeling like they have to leave it at home.

If building your own rod sounds like a good idea, you can stop by our new shop located in beautiful Heber, Utah, minutes from the Provo River and just 15 minutes from Park City, where we offer a unique, hands-on bamboo fly rod-making experience. We offer introductory and novice-level classes, as well as a week-long experience led by a master rod craftsman who will guide you through every stage of the process. After attending, you will leave with a one-of-a-kind bamboo fly rod that you built yourself.
